Pt. Leo Estate
Take a road away from the norm and follow the signs to the often-unexplored Westernport-side of the Mornington Peninsula. As you meander up the driveway and past the cascading vines, you are welcomed with the sight of an inspiring Grand Arch, a waved concrete structure, a 70-year-old Queensland King bottle tree and a doorway that offers a teasing glimpse of something truly remarkable. Welcome to Pt. Leo Estate! Pt. Leo Estate is truly a visual feast for all who visit with art, rolling vineyards and ocean views commanding the horizon as far as the eye can see. From the moment guests arrive, they are taken by the sweeping views that emerge in front of them encapsulating glimpses of Phillip Island, across the 50-acre vineyard, landscapes of grazing cattle and an expansive 19-acre Sculpture Park with the vast Westernport Bay. Comprising a Cellar Door at one end and ‘Laura’, our fine dining restaurant to the other, the Pt. Leo Restaurant experience sits at the heart of this world class venue. Passion for food, wine, art and recreation is evident throughout the experiences on offer at this stunning new tourism business, located on Frankston-Flinders Road in the relaxed village of Merricks on the Mornington Peninsula OUR FOOD We are so thrilled to introduce our Culinary Director Phil Wood, who is one of Australia's most awarded and innovative chefs. Phil’s exceptional skill and thoughtful administration will surely be seen in Pt. Leo Restaurant and Laura, our two award winning restaurants. Our food philosophy centres around using the finest seasonal locally grown ingredients and our genuine enjoyment in serving you. SCULPTURE PARK Our sculpture park has been purpose built to house an ever-evolving array of International & Australian pieces. Our sculpture park is alive with colour and a mix of mediums from wood to metal to ceramic tile, it is tactile, interactive and for everyone; families, art lovers or even those who would love to know more. OUR WINES At Pt. Leo Estate, we make wine that reflects our vineyards and the seasons that they come from. Our love of wine, food and art is reflected in the detailed craftsmanship in each bottle. For over 20 years, our vines have been carefully tended. The wines are all single vineyard and made from fruit that has been hand selected and hand picked. We are proud to be sharing our wines with the public for the first time. So, be our guest! Enjoy our wines at the cellar door, on the terrace, in our restaurant or at home with friends. GROUPS AND PRIVATE EVENTS Bookings are subject to availability. Bookings over 8 will be treated to a designer “chef’s selection” set menu. Our unique spaces can accommodate up to 50 guests and can be used for intimate events on special occasions. We welcome your call to discuss your special occasion.
