TASTING NOTES FOR LINDENDERRY WINES BY OUR WINEMAKER, BARNEY FLANDERS 2010 Macedon Pinot Noir The 2010 Pinot Noir is from our North-East sloping Pinot Noir Block in Macedon. More structured and robust than our Red Hill Pinot Noir this has red plum, cherry and brown spices on the nose. The palate displays great length, flavours of red plum, cherry and cocoa. 2010 Blanc de Blanc Medium straw colour with a fresh golden hue. Aromas of white peach, citrus and spice. The palate has great acid freshness, citrus, grilled nuts, brioche and a long delicate finish. The fruit for this wine is all P58 clone from our Red Hill vineyard. The fruit was hand sorted in the vineyard and winery then whole bunch pressed. The cloudy juice was transferred to old puncheons to ferment using indigenous yeasts. The wine was matured on its lees in barrel for 6 months. The secondary ferment was carried out traditionally in bottle and the wine aged for 4 years on lees. 2014 Pinot Gris – Macedon The wine displays aromas of spiced apple/pear notes, honey, and citrus pith. The palate is textured and long, pear, nutmeg and honey, with vibrant acid. The 2014 Pinot Gris is from a North-East facing site in the Macedon Ranges. The fruit was hand sorted in the vineyard and winery then whole bunch pressed. The cloudy juice was transferred to old barriques to ferment using indigenous yeasts. The wine was matured on its lees in barrel for 6 months. (3.35 pH 6.01 g/L Total acidity 13.0% Alc/vol) 2012 Chardonnay – Red Hill This Chardonnay shows an abundance of grapefruit pith, citrus and florals. Subtle clove oak spice complements in the background. On the palate – a mixture of bright citrus and stone fruit, vibrant balanced acidity, and a long textured savoury finish. The fruit for this wine is all P58 clone from our Red Hill vineyard. The fruit was hand sorted in the vineyard and winery then whole bunch pressed. The cloudy juice was transferred to a mixture of new and old puncheons to ferment using indigenous yeasts. The wine was matured on its lees in barrel for 9 months. (3.29 pH 8.11 g/L Total acidity 13.0% Alc/vol) 2012 Pinot Noir – Red Hill This Pinot Noir shows an abundance of red cherry and poached plum aromas, with subtle clove and cinnamon spice complementing in the background. On the palate – again a mixture of poached plums and cherries, dense, vibrant balanced acidity, fine textured tannins with subtle spice on the finish. The fruit for this wine is a combination of the D5V12 and D2D5 clones from our elevated, cool Red Hill vineyard. The grapes were sorted then destemmed and fermented in small open fermenters using indigenous yeast, minimal hand plunging, spending 21 days on skins. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered. (3.55 ph 7.96g/L Total acidity 13.5% Alc/vol) 2013 Rose – Macedon The wine of a pale pink appearance has an intense perfume of crushed raspberries, rose, and cinnamon. The palate has depth and drive, again with crushed red berries, spice and a dry, long finish. The 2013 Rose is from a North-East sloping Pinot Noir Block in Macedon. The fruit was hand-picked, sorted and whole bunch pressed. Settled for 24 hours the juice was barrel fermented with indigenous yeasts in old Barriques. A maturation of 6 months on lees followed the primary fermentation. (3.41 pH 5.75 g/L Total acidity 13.0% Alc/vol) 2013 Chardonnay – Red Hill The 2013 Chardonnay has undergone partial Malolactic fermentation, exhibiting delicate natural acidity and minerality. The wine is pure and lean with white flower and citrus aromas and some savory spiced oak complexity. Long and focused on the palate, with detail and intensity. • Hand sorted in the vineyard and again in the winery over a sorting table • Whole bunch pressed • Unsettled juice barrel fermented • Native yeast ferment • 20% new Francois Freres 500l Puncheons • Partial MLF • Matured on lees for 10 months. (3.31 pH 7.8 g/L Total acidity 13.0% Alc/vol) 2013 Pinot Noir – Red Hill This Pinot Noir exhibits an intense fragrance of cranberry, plum and raspberry complimented by aromas of licorice and clove. The palate is focused, elegant and long with refreshing acidity and lots of fine intense tannin. - Hand sorted in the vineyard and again in the winery over a sorting table - Slowly destemmed by gravity, into small open fermenters. - Native yeast ferment, total time on skins 20 days. - Gentle cap management, predominantly with light pump overs and a few plunges. - 25% new Francois Freres 300l Hogsheads - Matured on lees for 10 months - Bottled unfined/ unfiltered (3.65 pH 7.08 g/L Total acidity 13.5% Alc/vol) 2015 Grampians Shiraz The wine is a fantastic vintage, redolent of blackberries and spice, with smooth texture and a clean, juicy finish of fine tannin. - Hand sorted in the vineyard and again in the winery over a sorting table - Slowly destemmed by gravity, into small open fermenters. - Native yeast ferment, total time on skins 40 days. - 25% Whole bunches included - Gentle cap management, predominantly with light pump overs and a few plunges. - 10% new Francois Freres 300l Hogsheads - Matured on lees for 14 months - Bottled unfined/ unfiltered 3.75 pH 5.08 g/L Total acidity 13.5% Alc/vol

Lindenderry at Red Hill
Nice without wow factor
The wines were light and pleasing without wowing. The exception was the Pinot Gris which was a standout with length and body. Well worth the price.
Warm And Cosy
I recently went to a function here which was very inviting walked in to warm and cosy fireplace area for pre dinner drinks before going into dinner in their function room. Was a great night good choices for food and beautiful desert buffet.
